Once the estate's working farmhouse, the Casa del Contadino recalls Villa Marie's rural vocation down the centuries. Discreetly independent from the Villa, it offers superior accommodation for up to six people — ideal as a dependance for your own staff, or for guests when your party grows to eighteen beds.

Step inside and you enter a world of serene, authentic beauty with a contemporary touch: a cosy living room warmed by a wood-burning stove with a hand-painted mural, and a classically stylish kitchen with a full range of cooking facilities.

The restoration re-purposed the original materials — windows, antique terracotta floors — while local artisans returned the old furniture to life, so the house keeps all of its charm. Each of the three double suites has its own character and a comfortable bathroom finished with terracotta floors and retro-style sanitary ware.
