The Gardens

Two hectares of green paradise, designed by Marleen Van Marcke

Step into the gardens and you step into the estate's beating heart — a sequence of themed gardens, each with its own character, set against an evocative panorama of Tuscan hills.

The Central Garden

A classical Italian garden

Stroll among fountains, sculpted hedges and cypresses. Lemon trees dotted along the central water channel deliver the precious crop behind Villa Marie's own juices, dried fruits and limoncello.

The Wedding Garden

Vows under white wisteria

Expressly designed for the most special of occasions. In a romantic white marble gazebo conceived by Luc Van Marcke, couples exchange their vows beneath a cascading canopy of wisteria, surrounded by magnolia trees.

Art & Vegetable Gardens

Grown for the table and the eye

The Art Garden exhibits works that blend into the estate and its surroundings. Next to it, graced with an elegant travertine fountain, the vegetable garden supplies the kitchen with organically grown produce.

Kiwis ripen along the fifty-metre pergola and become the house jams and candied fruit; the olive trees yield our extra-virgin olive oil, pressed each year for the chef's regional dishes.

The Pool

Sun, water, stillness

On the far side of the Italian garden, the large outdoor pool is the perfect spot for a leisurely swim or an afternoon under a stylish parasol — cocktail in hand, hills on the horizon.
